Dunkeld Country & Equestrian Estate

A short 3 hour drive from Johannesburg you will find the Dunkeld Country & Equestrian Estate nestled into mountains 3km from the quaint town of Dullstroom in Mpumalanga, the Gateway to the Kruger Park.

The estate has Fly-fishing with 19 different sized dams and ponds that are well-stocked with rainbow trout. Adventure sports such as abseiling, balance beam, rock climbing, trapeze jump and a zipline are featured at Dunkeld for all to enjoy.

Bird lovers will love the Dullstroom region as it is famous for being home to the Blue Crane, Crowned Crane and the Wattled Crane. Take a splash in the indoor heated pool during the cold, winter months. There is also a Putt-putt course for all to enjoy.

The 3 main restaurants on the estate are the classic Jazz Bar, The Sporting Horse Restaurant and the 1883 Restaurant which is built on the original farm house foundations. The trout for which the area is so well-known for, features in some of the dishes and comes highly recommended.

Dunkeld is the best kept secret in Dullstroom and has an Equestrian Centre on the estate. Getting group of friends together is always great here. Dunkeld is also perfect for Hiking, running and there is an extensive single track for mountain bike enthusiasts.

Dunkeld’s accommodation offering is from beautiful luxury equestrian suites to self catering family units. The estate is peaceful and tranquil and is a retreat from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
